Of Serenity #WDYS

(Turn on music at the bottom for the full experience)

On those icy morns
When the sun barely crests the ridgetop
The birds play their morning melody
Sweet siren song
Of the mountains

Those tealy hues are calling
While my toe ripples the water
Glancing off the top
Skirting by the polar depths
Of this crystaline lake

Legs swinging off the side
At my sweet cabin, where I bide
my time to cherish beauty so
pure it is a crime not to inhale
the crisp cool airs and revel in the now
Of the gentle forest sunrise

A steel grey wants to play
Cause I ache to paint my moments
into the canvas’ eternity
As if capturing a place in peace
Is proof
Of this still calm existence

Where troubles fall away
And days stand still
In the name
Of Serenity

In response to Sadje’s What Do You See? prompt #WDYS; inspiring and promoting countless amazing artists with a sense of community where our souls see such different things in the same image, and our variation is beautiful.
